Golf tournaments have been a popular form of getting together with your peers to form new friendships, renew old ones and exchange views. This is a global phenomenon and so in India, a unique annual Doctor’s Tournament was founded by three Doctors back in 2012.
Dr MG Bhat, Dr Gautam Kodikal and Dr Sanjay Rao had taken the initiative to start the tradition and have put in the hard work over the years to establish this event firmly in the calendars of golf loving doctors, young and old. The occasion will be special this year as 2020 has been especially challenging for the profession.
The 7th Annual Golfing Doctors Tournament will be held on January 5th 2021 at the prestigious KGA Golf Course in Bangalore. Around 80 senior doctors and 20 special invitees are confirmed to participate.
In past years, Doctors have travelled from across the country to play the event but this year most entries are from Bangalore alone.
This year the tournament is introducing the 4 man Texas Scramble which is fun for golfers of all levels as each fourball plays only the best shot of the group. Special care is being taken to maintain social distancing and appropriate hygiene.
