It’s not only the male pro brigade that are getting longer and stronger every year. Now even the ladies are getting into the act. Its a warning to the Indian ladies on the HWPGT Tour as the pace of global progress in competitive golf continues to pick up pace threatening to leave Indian golfers behind. Now 22-year-old Maria Fassi from Mexico is averaging over 290 yards to lead the tour’s stat in driving distance.
Fassi, a three-time Mexican Women’s Amateur winner (2015, 2016, 2018), and runner up at the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur earned her LPGA card in 2018, making her professional debut at the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open where she finished Tied-12th.
