The Ladies European Tour unveiled its record-breaking tournament schedule for 2021 which includes 27 events in 19 different countries the Solheim Cup and the Summer Olympics, with players competing for a combined prize fund of more than €19 million: an increase of €2 million on the proposed pre-COVID-19 announcement for the 2020 season and €6 million on 2019.
For our domestic women golfers, the announcement of US$ 500,000 Hero Women’s Indian Open from Sep. 30th – Oct. 3rd at the DLF Golf & Country Club, Gurugram, has been a sigh of relief, which got cancelled due to the pandemic in 2020.
The 2019 edition saw Austrian Christine Wolf taking the top honours, while Anika Varma and Tvesa Malik finished 5th and 6th respectively.
