HYDERABAD
The inaugural edition of the Hyderabad Premier Golf League is all set to begin soon. The event will feature 12 teams and 12 players each, in a 6 weeks long tournament.
Each team will consist of a captain plus his choice of 3 players and the remaining 8 team members will be chosen from the common pool of golfers who sign up to participate.
Hyderabad Golf League Owners meet
Hyderabad Golf League, an initiative taken up by Mr DS Sumanth, a businessman based out of Madhapur, Hyderabad.
The RPGL was the first club league in India and its success encouraged other clubs, including KGA Bangalore, Pune GC and Bombay Presidency GC, among others, to launch leagues of their own.
The benefit of these leagues is they encourage members to improve on their games – and so the number of rounds played, lessons taken, new equipment & apparel sales have all received a huge boost at these clubs.
