JAIPUR
25-year-old Tvesa Malik of Gurugram is back into the winners circle after posting 1-under 209 to win by two-strokes over Jahanvi Bakshi at Jaipur’s Rambagh Golf Club from March 17th-19th.
Tvesa shot scores of 71-66-72 to best Jahanvi Bakshi 69-71-71 (1-over 211), the winner of the previous tournament at the DLF Golf & Country Club in Gurugram.
Tvesa ended an 18-month long winless drought dating back to August 2019, where she beat Ridhima Dilawari and Ladies European Tour winner Diksha Dagar by a stroke.
Tvesa talking about her win said, “The win was special because it’s come after quite a while. I feel like my game has been there but I haven’t been able to get it done up until now, and I’m excited to start the season on the LET as well.”
Jahanvi’s younger sister, Hitaashee shot 71-75-71(7-over 217) to finish solo fourth, followed by Amandeep Drall 71-75-72 (8-over 218) at fifth, Ridhima Dilawari 72-71-77 (10-over 220) at sixth and Vani Kapoor 75-73-73 (11-over 221) at seventh positions.
