PANCHKULA
The gala Chandigarh Golf Classic was held at the Panchkula Golf Club as part of a series of events supported by the Ministry of Tourism to help revive Domestic Golf Tourism. Players travelled from places like Bangalore, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi NCR, & Dehradun to participate. Over 100 golfers including senior civil servants, CEOs of MNCs from Gurgaon, Business owners and professionals teed off in excellent weather conditions. The tournament was played over 18 holes and several prizes including trophies and top brand golf equipment was awarded in various categories.
Participants enjoyed warm hospitality including complimentary Dress Shirts from Indian Terrain and golf kit, Breakfast, mid game refreshments and lunch. To make the event memorable, players were given the facility of technical data on their game based on digital analysis at the MG Motors Tech Trackman Challenge as well as video recording and instant playback of their swing courtesy LG OLED TV’s, leading to learning and feedback to players to help them improve their games. Panchkula Golf Club greens were as usual in good condition while the fairways played fast and firm, making conditions challenging. The tournament was welcomed by players, many of whom were playing their first competitive round in around a year. Col. Dhillon, GM of Panchkula GC looked forward to making this an annual fixture on the club’s Calendar.
