The 9th annual Christel House Charity Golf Tournament was hosted at Prestige Golfshire, Bangalore to collect funds for the school for underprivileged children, based in Bangalore. Once again Bangalore’s corporate community led by Swagelok, Vodafone-Idea Business Services, Bio-Gen , HSBC, LG and Indian Terrain, came together to support a great cause, collecting over Rs 30 lacs in donations despite current economic challenges.
Speaking at the event, J Mathew , CEO of Christel House India thanked all donors and participants and showcased two former students who had gone onto successful careers in life. Christel House transforms lives by taking children from KG to college and then placing them in jobs, thereby forever escaping the cycle of poverty and unemployment.
The tournament saw 100 golfers tee off in the four man Texas scramble format in which the foursome led by KP Srinivasan of RS Enterprises emerged victorious by a stroke .
Prestige Golfshire, managed by Troon Golf, was in its usual immaculate condition providing the event with a magnificent course for the 9th consecutive year.
