Business of Golf
The 9 hole public golf course in Navi Mumbai, Kharghar Valley, announced that Delhi based Golf Architecture firm, Golf Design India, has bagged the contract for the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) to expand the course to a full 18 holes.
Golf Design India has designed award winning projects such as Panchkula Golf Course, Belvedere Golf Club in Ahmedabad and Golf Arena at HIDCO in West Bengal and has Leh Golf Course in Ladakh, Jodhpur Golf Estate and more in pipeline, showing the growing interest and demand for golf in the country.
The picturesque Kharghar Valley, already popular with Mumbai golfers who are otherwise handicapped with only 3 courses to play in this massive metro city, is sure to attract many new golfers to the game.

The course played host to CIDCO Masters in early February, which saw golfers from Mumbai and Pune regions, representing courses like Bombay Presidency Golf Club (BPGC), Willingdon Golf Club (WSC), Oxford Golf Resort, Poona Golf Club, US Club and Golden Swan. Olympic Bronze Medallist and tennis legend Leander Paes finished runner-up.
