Pro Golf – Player Update

17-year-old Pranavi Urs of Mysore, a four-time winner on the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (HWPGT), is headed to the US for a competitive stint with COVID-19, halting tournaments in India and Asia.

Pranavi, who had a stellar junior and amateur career, won her maiden pro title while still an amateur in late 2019 in Bangalore. Immediately after that she joined the pro ranks and won in Mumbai and Chennai. She ended 2020 at sixth in the 2020 Hero rankings with two wins and two runners-up finishes.

Pranavi plans to play on the Women’s All Pro Tour (WAPT) and Symetra Tour Q-School in July and August. Her planned schedule:

  1. Taco Bell Natchez Golf Classic – July 20-23 , Mississippi
  2. Babe Zaharias Open – July 27-30 , Texas
  3. LPGA and Symetra Qualifying School – August 19-23

We at IndiaGolfWeekly wish her the very best for her endeavours and can’t wait to see her competing regularly on an international tour.
