22-year-old  Saptak Talwar of New Delhi, who in March became the first Indian to earn playing rights on the PGA Tour Canada,  will make his pro debut in the US$ 115,000 Forme Tour event in Georgia.

Talking about his pro debut, Saptak said, “I’m excited to get the ball rolling with my professional journey. I feel like I’ve been working really hard on my game lately, trying to peak at the right time. I’ve made some good developments so now it’s just a matter of execution.”

The Forme Tour is a parallel tour created by the US PGA Tour for current PGA TOUR Canada members due to restrictions and other COVID-19-related issues on the U.S.-Canadian border. For 2021, PGA TOUR Canada members will be given access to the Forme Tour, allowing them the ability to compete in a series of U.S.-based events between June and September.

The Forme Tour will continue to provide Official World Golf Ranking points and is planning an eight-tournament schedule played during the summer. The top-five points earners from this series of 8 events, which Talwar will play, will earn Korn Ferry Tour membership which could ultimately lead to the main PGA Tour.
