A two month break from the LPGA Tour back in Bangalore took its toll as 23-year-old Aditi Ashok missed her first cut this season at the US$ 2.3mn LPGA Classic in Michigan, shooting 77-76.
Aditi had earlier made six consecutive cuts starting back in February picking up US$ 48,700 (₹36 lakhs) so far this season. She is now headed to the year’s 3rd major, the US$ 4.5mn KPMG Women’s PGA in Georgia, from June 24-27.
Aditi was forced to return to India to obtain her UK Visa as in July she will need to head there for the Women’s British Open and other tournaments.
India Golf Weekly hopes Aditi quickly recovers from any jet lag and can tune back to US playing conditions in the all important stretch of events coming up so she can retain her LPGA playing rights for 2022.
