Multiple times winner of the All India Ladies Championship Nonita Lal Quereshi joined Jeev Milkha Singh in declining nominations by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to travel as coaches of the Indian golf team at the Tokyo Olympics later this month.
It appears that well known veteran coach Vijay Divecha seems to fit the bill as he has coached both Indian entries for the men’s event, Lahiri and Mane. However, till time of publication, the IOA had not yet got in touch with Divecha. Unconfirmed reports are that the team will be accompanied by IGU Treasurer Ishwar Achanta of Chennai.
