Hero Challenge
Top ranked Englishmen Ian Poulter and Tyrrell Hatton went head-to-head last week to try and score an ace on the 131 yard par-3 14th at The Renaissance Club, the host venue for the US$ 8mn Scottish Open.
The chances of a tour pro making a hole-in-one is 2500 to 1 and the duo was allotted a total of 100 balls, 50 balls each to attempt an ace. Although they couldn’t hole out, they got within a few inches on several occasions, which goes to show how proficient tour pros really are.
This Hero Challenge continued a tradition started a few years ago by the European Tour as a creative and fun form of golf involving some of the best tour players facing challenges specially curated for them.
