Tvesa Malik
25-year-old Tvesa Malik and 20-year-old Diksha Dagar, both from Gurgaon finished 20th and 58th at the US$ 290,000 Estrella Damm Ladies Open on the Ladies European Tour (LET) in Spain.
Tvesa Malik continued her consistent play shooting 72-72-73 (1-over 217) and Diksha returning to the tour after a break post Tokyo Olympics shot 72-74-78 (8-over 224).
Tvesa is currently ranked a creditable 23rd on the LET 2021 rankings after making 12 cuts in 15 events and is sure to keep her playing rights in Europe for the 2022 season.
Other Indians in the field included Vani Kapoor 74-76 (6-over 150), Gaurika Bishnoi 70-81 (7-over 151), Amandeep Drall 76-76 (8-over 152) and Ridhima Dilawari 79-79 (9-over 158) who missed the cut line set at 4-over 148.
Tvesa and Diksha will join Aditi Ashok in New York for the US$ 1mn Aramco Team Series from Oct. 14-16. Diksha had starred in the previous leg of the Aramco Series by helping her 3 member team to victory with a stellar performance just prior to her Tokyo trip.
