Anirban Lahiri, playing his seventh consecutive season on the PGA Tour started strongly with a 65 in Rd 1 but followed that up with lacklustre rounds of 70-72-71 to finish at 6-under 278 at 64th at the US$ 7mn Shriners Hospitals Children’s Open in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This was Lahiri’s second event of the new 2021-22 season as he had missed the cut by a stroke at the Sandersons Farms Championship last week.
Lahiri will take a two weeks break as the tour now stages the US$ 9.75mn CJ Cup in Nevada and the US$ 9.95mn Zozo Championship in Chiba, Japan.
