A golfer tees off on the final day of TPGL 2021
The newly minted Telangana Golf League, played its final on October 9th at Hyderabad Golf Club where team Mysa beat team Glendale Golfers to emerge winners in the popular league sponsored by Sreenidhi University and powered by Magnifiq Securities, HDFC and NMDC.
The League was played in both single and doubles format with 4 singles and 2 doubles matches and in the final, team Mysa won 5 out of 6 matches. Team Mysa’s Abhijay Jaiswal, Naveen Gullapalli and Madhav Kota beat their opponents by 5 & 4 each, followed by Vasu Merugu defeating P Narahari Varma by 7 & 6 in the singles and the team of Anil Yamani/VVSN Raju & Gaurav Ahluwallia/ Satish Cheeti beating their opponents by 1 & 0 and 3 & 2 in the doubles matches to clinch the title.
The semi finals had seen Glendale Golfers, Apollo Cancer Crusaders, Civet Rangers and Team Mysa compete. A total of 8 golfers from each team played each round.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony was held on 9th October, a gala event with team owners, participants and their better halves present.
The ceremony felicitated the best performers of the tournament with the runner-up, winners and the MVP being awarded with gift vouchers. The celebrations continued into the night with dinner & cocktails.
