The sixth leg of the U.S. Kids Golf series in India saw 60 young golfers compete in 12 different age/gender categories at the series’ permanent venue for North India – Classic Golf & Country Club, Gurgaon. The 8 event series which concludes with two more events on Jan 27 & 28th leads to qualification spots at the international U.S. Kids Championships – World Championship, the European Championship in Scotland and Teen World Championship.
US Kids Golf began with the intention to help kids in the United States have fun learning the game of golf and has since spread to over 40 countries worldwide. The World Championship is held annually at historic Pinehurst, North Carolina, and welcomes more than 1,500 players from over 50 countries with sizable participation from India.
In the 6th leg, Noida boys Arshvant Srivastava and Bhavesh Nirvan playing in Boys 12 category returned the top two rounds of the day with 67 and 69 respectively.
Zorawar Randhawa, son of the eight time Asian Tour winner Jyoti Randhawa, shot 5-over 77 to finish tied-2nd in the Boys 13-14 category.
Chaitanya Pandey, the winner of the first four legs in the Boys 10-and-under category, shot 77 to finish in a tie for second.
Two events remain to clinch qualification for the U.S. Kids Tour Championship.
