Shubhankar Sharma
Shubhankar Sharma was missing from the DGC Open as he played the European Tour’s US$ 2mn Qatar Masters, and after a strong opening round of 66 dropped to 49th with a total of 2-over 290 at Doha GC.
However thanks to his second place finish in the Rolex Series’ Abu Dhabi event in January, Shubhankar has the luxury of setting his schedule for the rest of the year having already secured enough money to keep his playing rights in Europe for 2023 and having secured his entry for the season-ending DP World Championship in Dubai as he is virtually certain to finis in the top 60 on the points table at the end of the season.
