Arjun Bhati, a 17-year-old from Noida, who recently turned pro, shot 70-66-68-66 (18-under 270) to finish a creditable third at the US$ 75,000 Gurugram Challenge, an Asian Development Tour & PGTI event held at the Classic Golf & Country Club .
The teenage Bhati had an illustrious junior and amateur career, where he has represented India at numerous international tournaments. He turned pro and joined the tour through the PGTI Qualifying event in Ahmedabad in February.
Yuvraj Singh Sandhu, who had finished tied-6th at the US$300,000 DGC Open last week again shot 17-under 271 to tie for fourth this week. In 2022, so far, Yuvraj has one PGTI win and two top-10s in four tournaments and is showing solid form.
The tournament was won by American Dodge Kremmer, who shot 67-66-66-66 (23-under 265) to beat Thailand’s Chanat Sakulpolaphaisan by three shots.
