Milind Soni has won two out of last three IGU events
Hyderabad’s Milind Soni shot 79-70-75-70 (6-over 294) to claim the Indian Golf Union’s (IGU) Andhra Pradesh Amateur Championship, on the men’s IGU national amateur tour at East Point Golf Club in Visakhapatnam by three shots over Ahmedabad’s Aaron Rockey. The tournament was played from May 16-20 and featured 52 ranked players in the field.
Last month Soni also won the IGU’s Assam Amateur Championship shot 70-72-70-70 (282) to win by a stroke over Kolkata’s Shaurya Bhattacharya and Noida’s Harimohan Singh.
In Nov. 2021, Soni had represented India at the prestigious Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in UAE, where he finished 41st with the scores of 71-69-71-76 (287).
