Indian men’s team announced for Asian Championship

Rayhan Thomas will lead a strong Indian squad in Thailand

The Indian Golf Union (IGU) has announced the Indian men’s contingent for the upcoming Asia Pacific Amateur Championship 2022 scheduled for Oct. 27-30 in Chonburi, Thailand.

Rahyan Thomas, who grew up in Dubai and now plays golf at  Oklahoma State University finished 2nd at the 2018 Asia Pacific Amateur Championship in Singapore.

Shat Mishra –  the No.1 ranked junior in the country has won seven of his last 12 tournaments.

Milind Soni from Hyderabad won the IGU trials for the World Amateur Golf Championship. 

Shaurya Bhattacharya of New Delhi, leads the IGU’s men’s amateur rankings. 

Krishnav Nikhil Chopra is based in New Delhi and won the Delhi NCR Amateur Golf Championship at Delhi GC earlier this year. 

Shubham Jaglan , India’s former No.1 ranked junior now plays successfully for the  University of South Florida and has previously won a junior World championship title.
