The Asian Tour is offering 72 players a chance to register at their Arizona qualifier

The Asian Tour has announced a historic first ever event in the USA as they stage a Qualifying Tournament in Arizona,  November 15-18,  to give US based players an opportunity to qualify for the 2023 Asian Tour.

The Asian Tour backed strongly by LIV GOLF with at least 12 tournaments with  US$2 million purses in 2023, is expected to elicit strong interest from young Americans who haven’t qualified for the PGA Tour and can compete with the Korn Ferry Tour , which is the stepping stone to earning PGA Tour playing rights.

Players also have the option of entering one of the Four sections of the  First Qualifying Tournament in Thailand, on a first come first served basis. The top-placed players from each of the five First Qualifying Sections will progress to the Final.

The Final, from which the top-35 finishers earn their Asian Tour playing rights, will take place at Lakeview Resort,  Hua Hin,  from January 18-22;

Over the years, the Asian Tour Qualifying School has witnessed the emergence of many top players in the region. Successful graduates include Thai stars Thongchai Jaidee (1999), Kiradech Aphibarnrat (2009) and Sadom Kaewkanjana (2019), Australian Scott Hend (2007), Korea’s Yikeun Chang (2016), as well as the American duo Kurt Kitayama (2018) and John Catlin (2018).
