In a huge boost to the chances of getting more Indians onto the Ladies European Tour (LET), 17 Indian girls will tee it up at the Classic Golf & CC in Gurgaon from Oct. 11-14 in the first ever LET Qualifier staged in Asia.

A total of 29 players, including the 17 Indians, have registered for the qualifying event. The top 3-4 finishers from this event are expected to get entry to the final Qualifier in Spain from  Dec. 17-21 at La Manga Club. The current HWPGT No 1  Pranavi Urs, will get a direct entry into the final qualifier in Spain.

In the past, Indian girls wanting to qualify would need to spend 20 days in Spain, first trying to get through the Stage 1 qualifier and then, if they got through, play the final qualifier. With a qualifier in India, the financial savings will be huge.

The Hero Women’s Indian Open will follow the Pre-Q from Oct. 20-23 at DLF Golf & CC in Gurgaon.
