Indian American Sahith Theegala continues to shine on the PGA Tour
24 year old Sahith Theegala, the lanky Californian of Indian origin, who made waves in his first year on the PGA Tour in 2022, shot 68-63-68-66 (17-under 265) to finish tied 2nd at the US$ 8.1mn RSM Classic in Georgia.
Theegala has played in six events so far in the 2022-23 PGA Tour season making five cuts with three top-10 finishes positioning him at 44th in the world rankings. If he can stay inside the top-50 he will be eligible to play all four majors in 2023.
In his debut season on the PGA Tour, Theegala finished 28th in the FedEx Cup standings with total earnings of US$ 3.1mn (₹25.5 cr).
