Continuing the biggest new development in world golf in the past 50 years, LIV Golf, the controversial Saudi-backed global golf tour, will expand from eight events in 2022 to 14 events in 2023 while rebranding itself as the LIV Golf League.
The League’s events will feature 48 players divided into 12 four-man teams which are expected to remain unchanged for the entire season.
The tour will tee-off its new season at the Greg Norman designed El Camaleon in Mexico in February which is the first course to leave the PGA Tour in favour of staging a LIV event having hosted 16 editions of the PGA Tour’s World Wide Technologies Championship at Mayakoba.
After Mexico, the tour will move to The Grange in Adelaide, Australia for its second event, followed by Sentosa in Singapore at the end of April and the famous Valderrama in Spain for its fourth event in July.
