Faisal Salhab winner of the 6th PIF Saudi Open
This week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from Dec. 8-10 at Golf Saudi managed Riyadh Golf Club, the US$200,000 PIF Saudi Open will be played on the Asian Development Tour for the first time as a result of Golf Saudi entering into a 10-year partnership with the Asian Tour with the 12 event International Series and US$5 million Saudi Open each year – a commitment of around US$300 million to the Asian Tour over the coming decade.
The PIF Saudi Open is also part of a series of events that Golf Saudi holds annually to develop awareness of the game in the Kingdom, as well as developing home-grown future talent. By holding such events, Golf Saudi is looking to increase the number of golfers throughout the Kingdom within all age groups and demographics. These efforts are part of the country’s larger campaign aimed at highlighting the benefits of sports participation, which in turn is part of its Vision 2030 that is aimed at improving the quality of life for all its citizens.
