Mumbai, a city starved for golf courses, can look forward to the opening of the CIDCO Kharghar Valley Golf course in Navi Mumbai which is being upgraded to a full-fledged 18-hole course from the original 9 holes, slated to be completed by year end and opened in January 2024.
The original 9-hole championship level course was inaugurated in 2012 and is located in sector 22 of Kharghar, across Central Park, Navi Mumbai in an area of approximately 103 hectares. The chosen site has an amazing setting with the Pandav waterfalls as backdrop, gentle elevation changes and strategic water bodies and sand bunkers.
CIDCO gave a go ahead to the upgradation plan in July 2021, which is now being developed at a cost of ₹109.65 cr with the construction work being done by Golf Design India.
The course already has a growing following of dedicated golfers who will all certainly benefit when the 18 hole course is ready for play.
