Nikita Arjun continues to work on her game in USA
28-year-old Nikita Arjun, an Armstrong University graduate, shot 73-72-76-70 (3-over 291) to finish tied-27th at the US$ 40,500 Taco Bell Natchez Classic, a Women’s Pro Golf Tour event in Mississippi. Arjun, originally from Bangalore , has been working hard on various minor league pro tours in America for the past 3-4 years waiting for a big breakthrough win.
Meanwhile, 32-year-old Orlando based Sharmila Nicollet, who is attempting a comeback after a series of injuries, shot 75-74 (5-over 149) to miss the cut by two-strokes.
Sharmila has spent the last two years recuperating from slip disc and ACL injuries and surgeries and now has plans to continue to play on the WAPT.
The top five (5) members at the season’s end of the WAP Tour win exemptions to Stage II of the season ending LPGA Qualifying Tournament.
