16-year-old Sukhman Singh from Noida shot 70-72-80 (6-over 222) to finish runners-up in Category A and third in the overall division of the Singapore Junior Golf Championship played at Seletar Country Club in Singapore.
Just last week, prior to heading to Singapore, Sukhman had won the IGU Southern Indian Boys Championship by a three-stroke margin, shooting 77-70-73-72 (4-over 292).
Sukhman represented India at the prestigious 2023 APGC Juniors Championship held in the Philippines finishing 19th.
The tournament is hosted annually by the Singapore Golf Association and is open to juniors aged between 11-17 years old with a valid handicap index of 14.0 or lower for boys and 16.0 and lower for girls.
Categories based on age and handicaps –
- Boys between 14 and 17 years of age with HI of under 12.0
- Girls between 14 and 17 years of age with HI of under 14.0
- Boys between 11 and 13 years of age with HI of under 14.0
- Girls between 11 and 13 years of age with HI of under 16.0
