PGA of India announces educational program for teaching professionals
The PGA of India has unveiled a much needed educational program for teaching professionals and anyone interested in a career in the golf industry in India.
Four certifications are being offered in the following areas:
Teaching & Coaching
Player Development
Golf Operations
General Management
With the first program completed at Boulder Hills G & CC in Hyderabad, the next session is scheduled at Qutab GC, in Delhi on 22,23,24 June 2023.
Further programs are planned for Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Panchkula and Kolkata with dates to be announced.
The enrollment fee is a nominal ₹2500.

This is a welcome development as the PGA of India has been largely sidelined since 2005 in what should be its role of developing coaches and golf club professionals, of which over 600 exist in the country.
The Indian Golf Union’s National Golf Academy of India ( NGAI) took up the role of certifying and grading coaches in the country since around 2004, and since the Professional Golf Tour of India was launched around the same time, the earlier role of the PGA of India, of running the professional golf tour of India, came to an abrupt end.
