Pranavi finished T-17th in Germany, her second-best finish in a Rolex Ranking event

While India’s Diksha Dagar won the Czech Open, 20-year-old Pranavi Urs, who is playing the LPGA’s Epson Tour in USA this season, was also making her mark while playing on a sponsor’s invitation. She played the stretch of her back 9 in Rd 2 and her front 9 in Rd 3 in an amazing 10 under par (32 +30) and with 9 holes to go on Sunday had vaulted into 2nd place in the event.

Pranavi started her Sunday round with five consecutive birdies and added one more on the 9th before her putter abruptly went cold and she came home in 3 over for a 17th place finish. Had she parred in she would have finished in the top five.

One other Indian made the cut. Ridhima Dilawari of Delhi shot 74-72-71 (1-over 217) to finish 54th.

Indian golfers who missed the cut line set at 2-over 146 included – Vani Kapoor – 76-71 (+3) & Amandeep Drall – 74-76 (+6)

The Indian girls in Europe will now move to Finland for the US$ 320,000 Ladies Open from June 29 to July 1 at Pickala Golf.
