Delhi’s Kartik Singh, the 13-year-old No 1 ranked junior with IGU, justified his invitation by winning the FCG CALLAWAY World Juniors 2023 at Rancho Mirage, California in the Boys 13-14 category.
Singh posted rounds of 69-65-67 to finish at 15-under 201 and earn a two-shot victory over William Leslie from Hong Kong.
98 of the world’s finest junior golfers aged 13-14 competed in the event following qualifiers around the world in which 20,000 juniors participated across age categories.
This week Singh will face a much stronger field at the US Junior Amateur, at Daniel Island Club in South Carolina. At 13, he will be the youngest of the 264 players under age 19 competing from across the world.
