While Aditi plays at the topmost level of the US LPGA Tour and Diksha Dagar stars at the next level on the Ladies European Tour, 25-year-old Nishtha Madan, who originally hailed from Delhi, plays the 3rd level of Ladies Pro Tours – the Epson Tour in USA from where the top ranked players automatically qualify the following season for the LPGA Tour.
Nishtha last week shot 74-71-73 (5-over 218) to finish 45th in the US$ 200,000 Twin Bridges Championship at Pinehaven CC in New York, making her 5th cut of the year with her best finish being a tie for seventh in her 2nd full season on the Epson Tour.
Meanwhile, former Bangalore native Nikita Arjun, who recently earned her spot on the Epson Tour during a reranking, missed the cut.
Nishtha and Nikita will travel to Indiana for the Tour’s next event – the US$ 335,000 French Lick Charity Classic from Aug. 3-6. The tour consists of 20 events with minimum purses of US$200,000 each.
Bangalore’s 19 year old Pranavi Urs also qualified for the Epson Tour in 2023 and played a few events, but then headed for Europe and Asia. She plans to get back to the USA and play the LPGA qualifiers in August along with 18 year old Sneha Singh of Hyderabad.
