Sneha Singh and Pranavi Urs decided to skip this week’s Hero Women’s Indian Open in order to participate in the LPGA and Epson Tour Q-School Stage-II, which is being played at the Plantation Golf & CC in Florida.
They will be returning to India next week to compete in the Ladies European Tour’s Pre-Qualifier Asia at the Classic Golf & CC in Gurgaon from November 8 to 10. Joining them will be amateur Avani Prashanth, who received a special invitation to the qualifier due to her impressive world ranking and a recent victory in Sweden on the LET Access Series, a second-tier tour of the LET.
Both Avani and Pranavi, who recently represented India in the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, will be striving to secure qualification and perform well at the Final Stage, a five-day tournament scheduled for December 16 to 20. Currently, the tournament has allocated 30 spots, with 18 of them going to Indian players
In the previous year, Sneha Singh claimed the top spot in the qualifier, also held at Classic Golf Resort, Gurgaon with her rounds of 74-71-66-70, totaling 7-under 281. A total of 27 players, including 14 Indian female professional golfers, participated in the 2022 Qualifier, with the top 9 and those tied advancing to the Final Qualifying tournament in Spain.
