27-year-old Honey Baisoya from New Delhi, shot 68-65-69-65 (17-under 267) to finish tied for sixth in the US$ 1mn Macao Open for one of his best finishes ever on the Asian Tour which matched his 6th place at the DGC Open back in March 2023.
A total of 17 Indians were in the field, with only seven making the 36-hole cut set at 4-under 138. In contrast, there were 31 Thai players in the tournament, with 17 making the cut.

Gaganjeet Bhullar (18th) and Chikkarangappa S. (20th) are currently the only Indians inside the top-20 on the AT Order of Merit. Anirban Lahiri, who is in 16th, is not a regular on the Asian Tour.
Min Woo Lee of Australia, a Special Temporary Member of the PGA Tour, shot 62-64-65-64 (30-under 254) to earn a two-shot victory over Poom Saksansin of Thailand, who shot 67-62-64-63 (28-under 256).
Lee’s remarkable score of 30-under par shattered the previous record in the event of 20-under par, established by Australian Scott Hend in 2015. Lee also finished just two strokes short of the Asian Tour record, which is held by Thailand’s Chapchai Nirat, who finished 32-under par in the SAIL Open at the Classic Golf and Country Club in India in 2009.
The tour’s next event will be the US$ 1.5mn Volvo China Open from Nov. 2-5.
