The 13th edition of the 3-day DGC Ladies Amateur Open Golf Championship 2023, sponsored by USHA, concluded with 102 participants ages 10 to 83 competing across various categories with the top category eligible for World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points in which Gauri Monga (236) and Amreen Sandhu (237) enjoyed a closely contested battle.
Administered by the R&A and USGA, WAGR involves 10,000 participants in 4,000 events globally.
Such Ladies Opens are staged by various major clubs across India annually providing an additional platform for Ladies of various abilities to compete in handicap and age categories and supplements the Indian Golf Union’s Ladies and Junior Tours which is only held in gross score format.
