Kartik continues dominant form among Juniors

Kartik Singh is the youngest ranked golfer from India on the WAGR

13 year old Kartik Singh of Delhi, who has dominated his age group in the past two years across Indian and international junior tournaments, once again underlined his class by beating the field at ITC Classic, Gurgaon by a margin of 11 strokes , shooting 68-65 (11 under par 133) over two days from the championship tees. Ranveer Mitroo who plays in a higher age group was overall 2nd to Kartik with 76-68 , 144.

This win should see Kartik and some of the other winners competing later this summer at the IMG World Juniors in San Diego since this edition of the Greens to Glory event was a qualifier for the World Juniors.

The Category C Boys (under 13 years) saw a playoff between Chaitanya Pandey and Danish Verma after they shot a matching total of 150, where Chaitanya emerged winner.

Similarly, Category A and B in Girls section, saw a playoff for the title between – Alysha Dutt and Kashika Misra and Ananyaa Sood Vs Ayesha Gupta for the title, where Alysha won in Category A and Ananyaa in B.

The tournament saw participation from 86 juniors – 53 boys and 33 girls in 11 different categories – A,B,C,D,E for Boys & A,B,C,D,E and F for girls.
