Anant Ahlawat wins Jharkhand Amateur

Anant Singh Ahlawat stands 2nd on the IGU Rankings

28-year-old Anant Singh Ahlawat, the 2018 All India Amateur Champion from Haryana and currently ranked 2nd on the IGU Merit list, carded rounds of 68-71-65-70 (14-under par) to win the Indian Golf Union’s Jharkhand Amateur on the second playoff hole at Golmuri Golf Club ,  Jamshedpur from another Haryana player – Rohit, who is currently IGU No.1. 

Rohit carded rounds of 71-66-71-66 to tie Ahlawat for the lead at 14-under 274 after 72 holes but went down on the second extra hole. 

Tushar Pannu, also of Haryana carded rounds of 68-70-69-69 for a third place finish at 12-under 276, closely followed by No.1 Indian junior Shat Mishra of Delhi with rounds of 66-72-72-68 at 10-under 278.

The tournament saw participation from India’s top-52 amateurs.
