Frank Bensel Jr., a 56-year-old club pro from New York, achieved the extraordinary feat of two consecutive hole-in-ones during the second round of the U.S. Senior Open in Rhode Island ! The odds of this are 67 million to one as per the National Hole-in-one Registry in USA !
Bensel aced the 173-yard fourth hole and the 202-yard fifth hole, both par 3’s using a 6-iron on both shots !

While consecutive holes-in-one are exceedingly rare, it’s also unusual for a course to feature back-to-back par-3 holes, as seen at the 7,024-yard, par-70 Newport Country Club last week.
The PGA Tour announced on social media that Bensel’s consecutive aces are the only instances of this achievement in a Tour-sanctioned event on record.
These aces marked the 13th and 14th holes-in-one of Bensel’s career, which includes appearances in three PGA Championships and the 2007 U.S. Open.
