Delhi’s Aman Sawhney and Sumit Kapur represented India at the Audi Quattro Cup – World Final

Aman Sawhney and Sumit Kapur from Delhi represented India at the World Final of the Audi Quattro Cup in Oman, finishing 4th after winning the Indian National Final earlier in the year at Phuket, Thailand.

The 2024 Audi Quattro Cup World Final was staged in Muscat, Oman from November 15-19 at the stunning Al Mouj Golf – Oman’s first links style course, designed by golfing legend Greg Norman, along a two-kilometer stretch of pristine coastline, flanking the Indian Ocean and with the stunning Hajjar mountain range in the background.

The Indian duo finished tied-fourth with 68 points in Group A category, while Taiwan, Spain, and Mexico took the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions respectively. With strong wind gusts of 30 mph, course and weather conditions were tricky, leaving the two-man Indian team struggling with shotmaking.

Established in 1991, the prestigious Audi Quattro Cup has grown to become one of the world’s largest amateur golf tournament series, hosting a global family of around 70,000 golfers across 38 countries.
