Dubai-born-and-bred Indian National Rayhan Thomas delivered an impressive performance in his debut on the PGA TOUR’s 2nd-rung Korn Ferry Tour at the 2025 Bahamas Golf Classic. Hosted at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Atlantis Paradise Island from January 12-15, Thomas carded a total score of 9-under 271 with 19 birdies across four rounds to finish at T27.
Despite battling strong winds on the final day, he maintained his composure and finished with a steady 3-under 69, featuring three birdies and two bogeys. Reflecting back on his week, Thomas expressed his satisfaction with the result, stating, “I felt pretty good all week. The wind was up on the last day, but I stayed in there—I was proud of my week.”
The event saw American Hank Lebioda take home the victory with an 18-under- 262, clinching his first Korn Ferry Tour title after a dramatic playoff victory over South Korea’s S.H. Kim.
Thomas, a recipient of the prestigious Dubai Golden Visa, is aiming to build on his solid start. “It’s a decent start to my 2025 Korn Ferry season. I just need to iron out a few weaknesses in my game, and I’ll be really ready,” he noted. This finish sets a positive tone as he plays next in the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic, which is just a short flight away.
The Korn Ferry Tour, viewed as the stepping stone to the PGA TOUR, will award a coveted PGA TOUR card for 2026 to the top 20 players in the end-of-the-season rankings.
