Veer made his 2nd consecutive cut on the European (DP World) Tour

Veer Ahlawat, last year’s Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) Season Ranking Champion, continued to find his rhythm in his first full season on the European (DP World) Tour. Competing in his third event of the year, the Bahrain Championship, held from January 30 to February 2, Ahlawat posted steady rounds of 70-70-73-71 to finish tied-49th with a total score of 4-under 284.

Veer skipped the International Series at his home course, the DLF G&CC last week – probably because his top priority is the European Tour, as it should be.

This week Veer is in Doha for the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters from February 6-9. Shubhankar Sharma, a two-time European and Asian Tour winner, will rejoin the tour after a brief excursion to India, where he participated in the International Series India, finishing T48 with earnings of 17 lakhs. Sharma, who has yet to earn points on the Race to Dubai Rankings this season, will aim to rectify that in Qatar.

Meanwhile, Veer will look to build on his steady progress and work his way up in the rankings.
