Monday the 1st of July, I was given the opportunity to take over the Symetra Tour’s Instagram account for 24 hours. I was very honoured to have been asked to do this. Typically, prior players who have taken over the Instagram account have shared more personal stories about themselves, whether it would be a walkthrough of their practices or what a day off for them entails.
I wanted to go a different route and take this opportunity to showcase a handful of Symetra players practising and preparing for the Prasco Charity Championship and having fun doing it. A couple of days before the start of the first round, I asked a handful of girls if I could film them chipping it in, hitting bunker shots, doing trick shots, making putts and hitting on the range.
When it comes down to it, you have to enjoy what you do and it’s easy to take that for granted. The friendships I have made along the journey only enhances the experience and makes it that much more enjoyable. I am very thankful for all the players that took part in my takeover. I’ve had such a great time taking over the Symetra Tour’s Instagram account and I’ve met some great people during the last 7 weeks travelling. I was really blessed to have this opportunity.
