The pilot saw over 300 kids aged 6-14 get introduced to the game by Arjun Singh- Head Pro, Kensville Golf Academy – assisted by his team. The kids had the opportunity to learn the basics of the game and hit balls into the practice net & putting mats on their school premises. The excitement continued as the kids got a chance to put their newly acquired skills to the test at the golf course. Numerous prizes and fun competitions were held to keep the spirits and interest levels high. As a result of the first pilot, over 25 kids have already signed up for additional coaching at Kensville Golf Academy and Kalhaar Blues & Greens Golf in Ahmedabad.
This fantastic initiative has already gathered interest from several schools in Gujarat and Maharashtra with over 7 schools to follow suit.
The IGU hopes to reach 10,000 kids by the end of 2017 through this mega initiative. We wish the teams the very best in this much needed endeavour to produce our champions of the future.
