Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) Premier League 2019

The first edition of The KGA Premier League came to an exciting finish on December 21, 2019 as the 8 teams who were playing the final round on an aggregate format, fought tooth and nail for the trophy.

Winning Team – Fanzart


The Fanzart Eagles team, owned by Mr. Anil Lala and captained by Mr. Arun Bajaj, was the runaway winner with a score of 352 points, as all five of their pairings performed exceptionally well — with scores ranging from 68 to 72 points. Not only did they win the coveted glass trophy (which weighed about 40 kgs!), but they also won prizes and gifts worth Rs. 15 lakhs, which included a top-of-the-line driver and golf bag for all the 18 members of the team.
Britannia Bourbon Birdies — owned by Mr. Varun Berry and captained by Mr. N K Lenka — was the runner up team with a score of 336 points, with their 5 pairings scoring between 61 and 77 points. They also received prizes & gifts worth Rs. 7.5 lakhs.
Mr. Vinod Chinnappa M., President of KGA; Dr. M G Bhat, Captain of KGA; and Mr. Arun Bajaj, Chairman Tournaments KGA, confirmed that the KGA Premier League would be an annual affair, as the first edition was a roaring success.

The tournament was played in different formats for different rounds –
Round 1: Played in Four-Ball format (Rule 23) where the lower net score of the partners is the side’s score on each hole.

Round 2: played in Foursomes format, also known as Alternate Shot (Rule 22).
Round 3: Played in Scramble format (Rule 21.5).
Each of the first three rounds was played over two days with 10 teams playing on each day.

Round 4: (Title round): played in Four-Ball aggregate format. A side’s score was the aggregate of the net score of both partners.

Vooty Golf County hosts Secunderabad Club Tournament

Vooty Golf County, South India’s exclusive 18-hole championship golf course in Vikhrabad, Telangana hosted a Golf tournament by Secunderabad Club. One of the most hotly contested sports events for club members, Secunderabad Club chose Vooty Golf County to provide golfers a fantastic location coupled with the best weather in the city. The event witnessed participation from over 100 golfers across the city. It was organised with the objective of providing golfers an opportunity to showcase their skills.

“We are delighted to welcome the golfers of Secunderabad Club and host the tournament at Vooty. The participants of this tournament have highly appreciated Vooty Golf County and its golf offerings expressing their strong desire to return with their friends and families. Winter Golf for Members

Oxford Golf Resort hosted the second edition of the Oxford Medal Round Golf Tournament on December 28, 2019 at their award-winning golf course. The tournament witnessed participation from 75 golfers who were divided into three categories — Handicap 0-18, Handicap 19-36, and Koreans Handicap 0-36. The tournament was followed by prize distribution and concluded with dinner and drinks.

A new golf range named ‘Skyline Golf’, located near the Pathways School in Baliyawas, Gurugram boasts a 340-yards long range with an academy, 40 driving bays, 5 target greens, USGA standard putting greens and night golf, making it a great place to hang out place with friends.
The golf academy at Skyline provides ample opportunity for new golfers to learn and has three certified and seasoned coaches like Priya Puri, Maninder Sigh Shekhon, and Rupesh Rajput to help beginners hone their skills.
