Kshitij Naveed Kaul
Three Indian boys turned pro at the eighth Panasonic Open India and the one who is left in the field for the weekend is 17-year-old Delhi boy, Kshitij Naveed Kaul. Playing at his home course – Delhi Golf Club – Kshitij posted 72 on Thursday and fired a magnificent 66 today to join 2016 winner Mukesh Kumar and PGTI’s Jaipur Open winner Aman Raj at 6-under 138 for T-12 position on the board.
Kaul had a good stint on the amateur tour, representing Indian in the Asian Games, and Eisenhower Trophy this year to name a few. He stood T-23 at the Asian Games.

Other two, namely Aadil Bedi and Yuvraj Sandhu missed the cut, but what remains to be seen here is, Sandhu posted 9-over 81 yesterday and to keep his hopes alive fired a bogey-free 6-under 66 today consisting just 26 putts, with six birdies, three of which came back to back from third to fifth holes, still he missed the cut-line set at 2-over par for two days, by a stroke.
Previous days leader Suradit Yongcharoenchai is joined by Bangladeshi ace golfer Siddikur Rehman at 11-under 133.
Ajeetesh Sandhu had a fair amount of his time on top of the leaderboard at 10-under 134 with another 67 following his opening round 67.
47-year-old Jeev Milkha Singh stands T-6 at 7-under 152, he had a bogey-free round after a long time and wishes to be in the winning circle with these kinds of rounds. Singh, who has his own invitational tournament starting next week on the PGTI. Tagged with a prize fund of ₹1.5 crores, it stands out as one of the biggest events on the Indian Tour.
In the previous seven editions, six winners have been Indian and with Suradit in the mix, it surely becomes interesting to watch out for an exciting Sunday at the Delhi Golf Club.
