DGC conducting golfing activity to honour COVID Warriors

The newly renovated, Delhi Golf Club, one of the premier sporting institutions in India is all set to host a unique golfing activity to honour all COVID warriors who have rendered exceptional services for the general public during this global pandemic. “Saluting India’s COVID Warriors”, the activity will be played over both the courses – Lodhi Course and Peacock Course, on August 21st and 22nd.

The activity is the second charity event at the Delhi Golf Club, after a star-studded charity golf match between the team of Kapil Dev and Gaganjeet Bhullar against Shubhankar Sharma and Murali Kartik was played out in July, where over Rs 47 lakh was generated for the noble cause of supporting the COVID-19 relief fund in India.

On August 21st and 22nd, the event will be managed by Digraj Golf Inc. The event promises to follow strict social distancing measures for the safety of members and participants. Even the prize distribution to be held on 22nd Evening at 5.30 PM will have a gathering within prescribed limits.

The “Saluting India’s COVID Warriors” activity has already raised a total of Rs 25,01,001 through generous contributions from club members and the cheque will be presented to “PM Cares Fund” and will be handed over to Ms Meenakshi Lekhi during the prize presentation on Sunday, August 22nd.
