India’s golf training infrastructure got a welcome boost thanks to the private initiative of ‘To The Tee’ golf academy in Bangalore, which is already home to some of the best golf courses and academies. Ms Indumathi Bhaskar, mother of a student golfer, has created this facility for golfing enthusiasts and intends to elevate it to world-class levels.
The academy is located in North Bangalore, around 20 min drive from Yelahanka, and has appointed Laurence Brotheridge, who was earlier in Pune’s Leadbetter Academy, where he trained professionals Vani Kapoor, Chikkarangappa S and Udayan Mane, among others. Nandan Heblikar, well known in the industry, will be Golf & Turf Consultant, Alia Abreo will be the nutritionist and Dr Shree Advani (brother of Snooker World Champion Pankaj Advani) will be Sports and Performance Psychologist.
The academy houses 40 all-weather driving bays, a target chipping area and a 20,000 sq. ft. putting green.
