14-year-old Kartik Singh from Delhi, the dominant junior in his age group in Asia for the past two years shot an amazing score of 19 under par playing from 7100 yards at the famed Black Mountain Golf Course in Hua Hin, Thailand to win the 2024 Asian Junior Masters in Category B with rounds of 66-66-65. Kartik was competing against some of the top ranked juniors in Asia in his age category and continues to make India proud.
Deservedly Kartik has been invited to the prestigious Sage Valley Junior Invitational in North Carolina, USA in mid March – the first Invite for any Indian boy. Only Avani Prashanth among girls has played Sage Valley for the past two years. The Sage Valley Juniors organisers pay for travel and stay of all the invited participants and its a matter of great pride to be recognised as one of the top junior players in the world with an invitation.
Another Indian, ten-year-old Ojaswini Saraswat from Mohali dominated the Category D Girls division and set a new course record with a remarkable total score of 25-under par with rounds of 63-66-62 featuring three eagles and an astonishing 19 birdies over the three days.
