There is a new star on the Indian horizon as former top ranked amateur 17-year-old Pranavi Urs of Mysore carded rounds of 72-72-68 (4-under 212) to clinch her 4th title on the Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour (HWPGT) at TNGF Cosmo Golf Course, Chennai.

Pranavi, who had a stellar junior and amateur career won her maiden pro title while still an amateur in late 2019 in Bangalore. That win announced her being ready for the professional circuit.
Pranavi joined the pro ranks thereafter and won in Mumbai in January 2020 and again soon after in Chennai. She ended 2020 at sixth in the 2020 Hero rankings with two wins, and two runners-up finishes.
Another tour rookie Hitaashee Bakshi of Delhi, finished second to Pranavi in Chennai with scores of 71-70-73 (2-under 214).
Ridhima Dilawari, the winner of the previous event in Bangalore at Prestige Golfshire, finished third with 75-69-71 (1-under 215).
The Hero Tour will next play in February at BPGC, Mumbai and follow it up with Poona GC.
